Chief Executive Officer
Mark Dyer is the Chief Executive Officer of HMA and its subsidiary organizations. Since becoming CEO, Dyer has successfully spurred HMA’s more than 125,000 members–in more than 5 states–around product and service repositioning.
Dyer’s career at HMA spans more than 22 years; his leadership crosses critical disciplines of health care services, including sales and distribution, marketing, client management, and network provider services.
Before being named CEO, Dyer served as Senior Vice President with responsibility for sales and account management functions. Mark and his team lead a number of key initiatives, including client retention, sales positioning, pharmacy benefits, and Provider networks. Mark has been instrumental in building certified compliant regional healthcare Provider networks in Hawaii and Arizona.
Under Dyer’s leadership, HMA has:
Delivered nearly 93% annual consumer contract renewals
Increased membership to over 85,000 in Hawaii
Expanded HMA into 5 states throughout the US Southwest and Hawaii
Mr. Dyer is highly involved in the community; he actively runs a community athletic center aimed at providing youth with opportunities through sports & recreations.
Dyer is an accomplished collegiate athlete himself, having competed in more than 100 collegiate basketball contests while at University of Iowa and Grand Canyon University. Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University in Business Administration.
